Beam Expanders
A laser beam expander is a lens component that can change the diameter size and divergence angle of the laser beam.
According to optical principles, the product of the diameters of the two ends of the beam and the corresponding divergence angles remains constant. That is, when the beam diameter increases, the divergence angle of the beam also decreases by a corresponding ratio. This is the main characteristic of laser beam expansion. In laser focusing applications, the smaller the divergence angle of the laser beam, the better the focusing effect.
